Also, Ashanti Region had a register of 2,872,619 voters in 2016. As of Day 31 of the ongoing registration, the region had recorded 2,700,805 voters. It’s left with 171,814 voters to reach it’s 2016 figure.
The Central Region and what would have been the Northern Region have almost reached their 2016 figures with 5 more days to go. The “Volta Region” (Now Volta and Oti) is left with 113,571 voters to reach the 2016 figure of 1,282,306.
So far only the Greater Accra Region has exceeded it’s 2016 figure but almost all the regions are expected to reach or exceed their previous numbers by the time the main registration and the mop up exercise come to an end.
