Dr. Bawumia told to stop beating about the bush and answer the Brilliant Question from Berla Mundi
Instead Of Answering The Brilliant Question, You Are There Saying Nonfa, Netizens React To Berla Mundi’s Brilliant Question And Dr Bawumia’s Answer.
At the latest media encounter with journalists at the NPP organised to meet the press, the flag bearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, came under fire after multiple award-winning broadcast journalist, Berla Mundi, hit Dr. Bwamumia with some brilliant, unexpected questions.
The questions not only caught Dr. Bawumia off guard, but the Ghanaians who watched the program live on TV and afterwards were furious with Dr. Bawumia for his inadequate response to the journalist’s intelligent question.
The youth used social media to criticize Dr. Bawumia for his inadequate response to the posed question.
Berla Mundi posed a critical question to Dr. Bawumia, asking whether the NPP party should apologize to Ghanaians for not fulfilling their promises and for deceiving the public. Her question also touched on the failure of the NPP government led by Dr. Bawumia and Nana Addo to speak out on the 8 Ghanaians who were killed during the 2020 general elections
Instead of answering the question directly as to whether the NPP government should apologize, given the current state of the economy, Dr. Bawumia rather went about listing the achievements of the ruling party. He failed to address the questions and did not answer them, which left many disappointed.
Among the accomplishments he highlighted in response to the insightful question were: The NPP introduced the Ghana Card to identify and verify individuals in Ghana. He also talked about the introduction of the digital address system and the mobile money interoperability platform.
What Dr. Bawumia failed to appreciate is that the achievements he was mentioning were not part of the promises he and his president, Nana Addo, made to the people of Ghana for which they voted them into office as president and vice president.
Ghanaians, dissatisfied with Dr. Bawumia’s complete failure to address the questions, took to social media to criticize him for sidestepping the demands of Berla Mundi’s question.

They have rather called for former Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta, Dr. Bwamumia, and President Akuffo Addo to be the ones apologising to the people of Ghana.
Take a look at some of the questions and comments from Ghanaians to understand how disappointed they are with the answers Bawumia gave.
