New Force launches ‘SaveGhanaFund’ platform to mobilize funds for campaign

A digital platform called SaveGhanaFund for fundraising has been introduced by the New Force Movement founder, Nana Kwame Bediako, in an effort to raise money for its 2024 campaign.

The “SaveGhanaFund” project aims to empower the people to choose their own leaders and to encourage inclusivity. With a dashboard screen that displays all inflows in real time, the platform is transparent to all.

The movement’s founder, Nana Kwame Bediako, gave GH¢500,000 as seed money as part of the launch in Accra on Monday. He claimed that the fund’s (SaveGhanaFund) goal was to alter the nation’s political ideologies and system of government.

“I want the citizens to see that they are responsible for creating leaders and for putting leaders in place, so I’m urging the youth and every Ghanaian that one big thing that we can do for ourselves as a country is for us to change the narrative by supporting this movement and donating into politics instead of waiting to take from us before you vote,” he said.

After receiving the go-ahead, he stated that he would prefer for his leadership to be found on the contributions and voices of the people.

He declared throughout his presidential campaign that he did not want to make the same mistakes as previous politicians by accepting money in exchange for votes.

In order for people’s aspirations to be fulfilled, he stated that he would much rather see them invest in the nation’s leadership and governance.

“One would have thought that this young man is successful and he’s trying to use his money to get into politics. Nobody can afford politics on their own. It takes a nation to build politics.”

“It’s been four or five decades that we have left a few people to be responsible for political principles and decisions and this narrative must change. Let’s change our country together,” Nana Bediako said.

Nana Kwame Bediako also expressed gratitude to the different queenmothers and chiefs who, through their guidance, had helped him realize his goal. He claimed that after hearing what they had to say, he realized that the movement needed to reform in order to advance.

“You have given me your support and for most of you, your heart and your soul are behind us because you want to see a change. Although it’s difficult for some of you to show your faces, I can understand the situation but just how you feel in your heart alone, I want you to understand today that I appreciate you from the bottom of my heart. We are only here because we want to change. We want a better future for our country,” he said.
