Bawumia is respectful, intelligent and naturally humble – Dormaahene
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president of the Republic of Ghana and the leader of the New Patriotic Party in the elections scheduled for December 2024, is currently in the Bono Region on phase 2 of his campaign tour. Many have applauded the Vice President for busing his entourage and campaign crew on the campaign tour.
Prior to starting his campaign trip, he has made a point of engaging with local religious leaders to ask for their blessings, counsel, and direction. In order to pitch his campaign platform to them and get their advice, he also visited with the Bono Regional House of Chiefs.
He was cordially received by the chiefs and the populace at his meeting with the Bono Regional House of Chiefs.
In his speech, the New Patriotic Party leader, Dr. Bawumia outlined his goals and plans for the people of Ghana should he be elected president. He restated and clarified his flat tax policy and his plans to support the growth and prosperity of businesses.
The president of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs, Dormaahene Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu II, thanked the vice president and expressed his appreciation for him in front of the crowd. He said, “Dr. Bawumia, you’re intelligent, respectful, and more remarkable is the fact that your utterances are decent and free of insults.”
He also begged Dr. Bawumia to expedite unfinished projects in the area and keep his word, which resulted in this year’s budget being approved.
Thanking the Bono Regional House of Chiefs, the New Patriotic Party flagbearer asked for their support in the upcoming December elections and reaffirmed his commitment to the advancement of this nation.
Mahamudu Bawumia (born 7 October 1963) is a Ghanaian and former central banker who serves as the 5th Vice President of Ghana in the 4th Ghanaian Republic. He assumed office on 7th January 2017 as Vice President of Ghana. He is the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party in the coming December 7th general election.
