NDC to Build Sports Stadiums Across all Regions- NDC’s Manifesto
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced plans to construct sports stadiums in all regions during the NDC 2024 manifesto lunch. This initiative aims to enhance sports infrastructure and promote athletic development throughout the country.

In his statement, he criticised Bawumia, calling him the economic wizkid Ghana never got, indicating that the Vice President failed to fulfil his economic management and development promises.
This critique underscores Mahama’s dissatisfaction with the current administration’s performance and raises concerns about the effectiveness of their policies in tackling the nation’s challenges. The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has expressed its dedication to building sports stadia in every region of Ghana. In its 2024 election manifesto, which was launched on Saturday, the party promised to significantly improve sports infrastructure, foster talent development throughout the regions, and provide fair support for all national teams.
The third point in the NDC’s sports development plan states that it will “continue our long-standing policy of establishing international standard stadia in all regions.” In addition to constructing a new stadium, the party plans to renovate existing facilities that are currently inadequate.
“We will carry out urgent refurbishments of pitches, tracks, and other amenities at our national stadia in Accra, Kumasi, Tamale, Cape Coast, and Sekondi to ensure they meet FIFA standards.”

In 2018, the current government initiated the construction of 10 multipurpose youth resource centres nationwide, and the NDC has promised to “build additional multi-purpose sports facilities to encourage regional sporting events and inter-school competitions as part of our talent development strategy.”
The NDC’s manifesto also tackles the issue of fairness in sports funding and development. The party has pledged to “ensure equitable investments in other national teams, including women’s football teams, parasports teams, juvenile teams, and lesser-known sports.”
