NDC Launches 2024 Election Campaign Today in Tamale.
The leading opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), will launch its 2024 election campaign today, July 27, 2024. The event, which is expected to be attended by loyal party members and leadership, will be held in Tamale in the Northern region. The programme is expected to start at noon.
The NDC Campaign Launch in Tamale is expected to be attended by over 50,000 supporters. The event will feature the party’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, his running mate, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, and other top officials, including the National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, and members of the Council of Elders.
NDC Members of Parliament, parliamentary candidates, and supporters will also attend.
According to National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the party will adopt a different campaign strategy this year.
The NDC will be going into the 2024 general elections on December 7th with former President John Dramani Mahama as its presidential candidate.
The #MahamaCampaignLaunch event is expected to be electrifying and usher the party into the full-election 2024 campaign.
The NDC as a party has indicated that Ghana must vote for change to enable the party to reset Ghana and bring hope to the teaming youth and Ghanaians in general.
Ahead of the #MahamaCampaignLaunch, the NDC Youth Wing organised a special sensitization event on the major streets of Tamale to announce the #MahamaCampaignLaunch to be held at Jubilee Park, Tamale.
On the eve of the launch, Sammy Gyamfi, ESQ., energized the crowd in Tamale ahead of the campaign launch. The NDC is also expected to launch its manifesto for the 2024 election.

The launch of the NDC manifesto will serve as the climax of the event on the day. Chief among the content of the manifesto to be launched will be the NDC’s 24-hour economy, the abolishment of ex-gratia, and the Okada regularisation policy. Others are the export of nurses to address unemployment among health workers.
Flagbearer John Dramani Mahama has expressed confidence in the manifesto’s potential to drive socioeconomic development.
In a related development, multiple pulls by different organizations (foreign and local) have tipped the opposition NDC to annex power and take over the governance of Ghana in 2025.
