Ghana’s Electoral Commission calls on Otumfuo Osei Tutu II
The Electoral Commission of Ghana called on Otumfua as the EC continues to engage individual and institutional stakeholders ahead of the 2020 General Elections.
At the Asantehene’s palace was Mrs. Jean Mensa, the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, on 12th February 2020. She led a ten-member delegation from the Electoral Commission to pay a courtesy call on Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
The delegation used the visit to the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi to brief King on all new reforms that had have evolved since Mrs. Jean Mensa, the Chairperson of the Electoral Commissioner’s assumption of office.

Issues relating to Ghana’s electoral processes were also discussed ahead of the December 7th Election which will give Ghanaians an opportunity to elect the county’s 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary representatives to be in charge of the governance of the country for the next four years.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II welcomed the delegation and expressed his profound appreciation for the visit. He also advised the Commission to work in consonance with the Constitution and deliver to Ghana a successful Presidential and Parliamentary Election come December 7th 2020.

Dr. Bossman Eric Asare, Deputy Chairman in charge of Corporate Services, Mr. Samuel Tettey, Deputy Chairman in charge of Operations were part of the delegation at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi with the commissioner.

Madam Adwoa Asuama Abrefa, I T Consultant, Mrs. Sylvia Annoh, Acting Director Public Affairs and Mr. Benjamin Bano Bio, Ashanti regional Director, Mrs. Rebecca Adjalo and Mrs. Hajia Sa – adatu Maida all Commission members and Dr. Serebuor Quaicoe, Director Electoral Services and Dr. Yaw Ofori – Adjei were also present.
