Founder of Action People’s Party says Bawumia was used to scam Ghanaians for votes
Kenneth Nana Kwame Asamoah, leader and founder of the Action People’s Party (APP), believes Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has failed Ghana despite his qualifications and accolades as an intelligent economist.
The founder of the Action People’s Party revealed that Ghanaians are suffering as a result of Dr. Bawumia’s poor performance and mismanagement of the economy as chairman of the Economic Management Team.
Prior to the 2016 general elections, many Ghanaians referred to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the Economic Messiah who would work with Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to rescue the country from economic stagnation.
At the time, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia conducted a series of public lectures in which he questioned and vilified the Economic Management Team of the Mahama administration.
However, some members of the general public have begun to voice discontent, claiming that the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has failed to meet expectations as the leader of the Economic Management Team for nearly eight years.

In this regard, Nana Kwame Asamoah, the founder of the Action People’s Party questions the NPP flagbearer’s economic prowess, claiming that Dr. Bawumia is no more the well-known smart economist and has been transformed into another field known as digitalization.
He has stressed that Dr. Bawumia was utilized by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to defraud Ghanaians for their votes.
“Bawumia knows nothing about the economy, and he was used to scam Akufo Addo and Ghanaians for their votes,” he told Isaac Ekow J.B, host of Onua FM Etifi Nsem show on May 25.
The founder of the Action People’s Party emphasized that local traders understand the economy better than Dr. Bawumia and prayed that Ghanaians will recognize this and reject him by not voting for him in the coming December 7th general elections.
Ghana is set to go to the polls on December 7, 2024 to elect a new president as well as Members of Parliament for various constituencies within the country, that is why the founder of the Action People’s Party has come out to question Bawumia’s prowess to be a president.
