2 Temporal Officers of EC in Savannah Region Dismissed

The Electoral Commission has noted with grave concern acts of misconduct on the part of two temporary Registration Officials who were alleged to have been caught in the course of illegally registering residents of a community in Tamale.

The Commission is currently working with the Security Agencies to ensure that the suspects are made to face the full rigor of the law.

The officials have been relieved of their pots pending investigations.

Meanwhile, the Registration Kit used for the illegal registration remains in police custody.

The Commission wishes to assure the general public that it will not shield any of its staff, temporal or permanent, who find themselves on the wrong side of the law.
