EC clears Air on ownership of PERSOL SYSTEMS LIMITED. The Electoral Commission of Ghana has in a press release indicated that certain articles being circulated on social media alleging that PERSOL SYSTEMS LIMITED the company that has been awarded the contract bid to build the EC data center belongs to the husband of the Chair Person of the EC, Mrs. Jean Adukwei Mensa should be disregarded.
According to the EC, the company has no connection with the EC chair and her husband as is been alleged. It said, “This is an outrageous lie since the said company has no links whatsoever with the Chairperson and her husband.”

The commission called on the general public to disregard it as it is a false fabrication. The statement also stated that the EC is very mindful of the reality that, some sections of the Ghanaian society will attempt to malign the integrity and credibility of the Chairperson, her Deputies, and the Commission.
The Electoral Commission called on all and sundry to cross-check facts and stories put out in the media. It further called on well-meaning Ghanaians to do their utmost best to verify the ownership of the contracted company PERSOL SYSTEMS LIMITED at the registrar general department.
Since the release of the press statement, a section of the Ghana populace has begun to ask the Electoral Commission Ghana, the role that PERSOL SYSTEMS LIMITED is playing within the EC?
Others also advised the EC to be focused “Don’t worry yourself about the NDC propaganda allegations. Focus and do what is better for Ghana you have we the true patriotic Ghanaians support, we are solidly behind you EC” one such comment advised.
A Public Relations experts had this today “I don’t think the EC by this statement cleared the air on the ownership as presented in the heading. Somebody needs to understand the nature of his role as a PR person in there and how to engage the public. It’s not helping issues at all!”.
For some social media commentators, The tone of the EC letters are not official and portray political sentiments. They called on the EC and its public affairs directorate to be retrained to write official letters and rejoinders meant for public consumption.

Another section of Ghanaians called on the EC to ensure any composition of an advisory body on elections in this country includes Afari Gyan. To them, Afari Gyan has the best of experience in elections since 1992, and should not be left out of such any compositions.
EC clears Air on ownership but a section of the public seems not to be convinced. For these persons, the EC should have named the exact owners of the company instead of directing the public to the Registrar Generals Department.
