Bawumia to File Nomination for Presidential Election on Sept 9
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is set to file his nomination on Monday, September 9, 2024, at the Electoral Commission’s headquarters (EC). In the line of standing for the party for the upcoming election 2024
This information was shared in a press release from the party’s General Secretary, Justine Koduah Frimpong.
He will be joined by his running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, along with the Party’s National Chairman, General Secretary, the Majority Leader in Parliament, and several other NPP Party Leaders.
In a statement on Sunday morning, Justin Kodua Frimpong mentioned that Dr Bawumia will speak to party supporters and the public after submitting his nomination at the party’s headquarters in the morning. “The NPP is excited to inform the public that the Party’s 2024 Presidential Candidate, H.E. Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, will file his presidential nomination on Monday, September 9, 2024, at the Electoral Commission’s headquarters.

The Vice President and Party Leader will be accompanied for the filing of his nomination by his Running Mate and Vice Presidential Candidate, Hon. Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Party’s National Chairman and General Secretary, the Majority Leader in Parliament, and a few other Party Leaders,” this is a portion of the press release during the press conference September 8 by the party’ chairman.

“After filing his presidential nomination, the Presidential Candidate would be addressing party sympathizers and the general public at the Party’s NPP National Headquarters at 9:00 am,” Mr Frimpong announced.
NPP leader and parliament nominees urged members and the general public to be part of “this historic moment of POSSIBILITY in Ghana’s Next Chapter.” which will take place after the submission.
