I am exceedingly proud of my record as President — Nana Addo

Looking back on his term, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in a social media post has shown an unapologetic and unmistakable sense of pride and achievements.

As his time draws to a close, he has listed the numerous achievements, accomplishments and milestones his administration has attained, highlighting the revolutionary influence of his policies on the socioeconomic terrain of the country.

The notable advancements in economic growth and stability, he added, are among the main achievements and sources of his pride. The incumbent Akuffo-Addo also believes that his administration has also played a key role in diversifying the economy and lowering the nation’s excessive reliance on exports of gold and cocoa.

The Free Senior High School (SHS) initiative, the centerpiece of his administration’s policies, has greatly expanded secondary education access and made it possible for every Ghanaian child to graduate from high school without facing financial barriers.

President Akuffo-Addo stated that this initiative has been recognized as a game-changer, with better educational outcomes and higher enrollment rates.

In a video shared by Asaase Radio on their X page, Nana Addo said “I’m exceedingly proud of my record in office and the considerable achievements that have been recorded in all sectors of national life these last seven and a half years, one or two of which have been very difficult as a result of global developments. Whether it is in the management of the national economy, education, healthcare, roads, railways, digitalization, infrastructural development, agricultural and industrial transformation, or the protection of Ghana’s territorial integrity and security.

“The fight against corruption, the battle against environmental degradation, the response to the COVID-19 pandemic entrenching the tenets of good governance and the rule of law, contributing to the attainment of regional and continental integration and unity… The record is there for all to see.”

He stated that the accomplishments and achievements of his government have had a lasting impact on Ghana’s growth, ranging from healthcare developments and infrastructural development to economic reforms and educational advancements.
