NPP Primaries: Lawyer Philip Addison has been disqualified
Lawyer Philip Addison has been disqualified from contesting in the upcoming NPP Primaries for the election of the partY’S parliamentary candidates for the 2020 general elections scheduled for December 7th.
According to sources, Lawyer Philip Addison was disqualified alongside one other William Agyei Twumasi. Their offence was that they were found to have started open campaign even though they have not been given the nod by the party yet.

Before their disqualification, the two candidates were challenging the incumbent MP for Akuapem North seat in the Eastern.
As it stands, the lawyer and his colleague Bursar of Presbyterian College of Education, Akropong’s exit will give the incumbent an easy way to represent the NPP since he will go unopposed.

Lawyer Philip Addison became famous during the 2012 election petition hearing after the 2012 general elections which took the two leading political parties, the NPP and the NDC to the supreme court.
At it stands now the hopes of Lawyer Philip Addison and William Agyei Twumasi of unseating the incumbent MP, Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah Adjei who doubles deputy Minister for Information is in limbo unless they are able to make the party change its decision in their favour.
