The Ghana Police Service (GPS) has disclosed in a press release that two officers were involved in Bullion Van robberies in recent times.
According to the GPS, the public will soon be briefed on the James town Bullion Van robbery in which a police officer was shot dead and others in Accra.
The statements indicated that the GPS has made some breakthroughs through its investigations of the various robberies connected to Bullion Van.
“Preliminary investigations have established the involvement of two Policemen among the number of suspects.” The statement said.
According to the statement, the police would continue to fight to rid the country of robberies.
In June 2021, a police officer was shot dead by suspected armed thieves during an attack on a bullion vehicle in Adedenpo, near James Town, Accra.

According to reports, an officer from the National SWAT team of the police was accompanying the money in the car and was sitting in the front seat.
