I will create one million jobs through food processing – Cheddar promises
Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar, the founder and leader of the New Force Movement, has claimed to create more than one million employment in food processing if elected.
He emphasized that these occupations will greatly raise the wages and living standards of the workers involved.
He made the vow during a meeting with TUC leaders in Accra on Thursday, May 23.
Nana Kwame Bediako seized the occasion to detail his policies and objectives if he wins the election on December 7, 2024.
During the discussion, Mr Bediako stressed the significance of employment creation, particularly in agriculture and other vital sectors of the economy.
Mr Bediako pointed out that Ghana’s enormous natural resources may be used to improve the country’s economic progress.
In addition to food processing, Bediako stated a strong desire to improve healthcare and education.
He feels that comprehensive policies in these areas are critical to the nation’s overall prosperity and well-being.
“When we start processing our foods we can have seven different jobs in one seed. Currently, we are the second largest producer of cocoa. What do you we see from cocoa now, the chocolate industry is over $200 billion, but we are not getting it in this country,” he said.
Compliment on the food processing initiative
Dr. Anthony Yaw Baah, Secretary General of the TUC, complimented Nana Kwame Bediako for his vision and commitment to the country’s development.
Dr. Baah acknowledged the potential benefits of the suggested policies which includes the food processing initiative to create jobs for Ghana’s labor and economy.
“He talked about sending the sea to Kumasi, we laughed but later when he came to my office, he explained to me that he will rather dredge the sea to Kumasi,” Dr Baah said.
As Ghana moves towards the December 7th, 2024 general elections, the New Force Movement founder and leader has urged Ghanaians to back him up and support him to win the presidential election.
