COVID-19: America is better than Ghana – Veteran Ghanaian writer
The veteran Ghanaian writer/ journalist and socialist on Alhaji and Alhaji at Pan African tv on Saturday 18/07/2020, talking about the unions and parents demand on the closure of schools over COVID-19 infection, says he had the opportunity to be on the same platform with the director of Education and he made some intriguing comments.
According to the veteran writer and journalist, the director says a lot of things on the platform but there were two of them of which he was interested in, firstly he said the PPEs that were taking to the schools by the government was not enough and some schools didn’t even get some of it but that’s not the fault of the government.
secondly, the schools that had the opportunity to get some, did not have enough for the number of students on campus.
One example from the director of education was that even the boxes of sanitizers that were taken to campuses were empty and this is beyond human imagination.

According to Mr Pratt, there have been rumours around which says that the students on campus are just over a million and so if hundred of them get infected then it is not alarming.
But it started in every country with one case before it was bloated, and Ghanaians are saying even America is in the worst situation so here, is normal. Who said America is better than Ghana?
Ghana has a lot of resources that America is not having. The only problem we have is the lack of visionary leadership.
Look at Mauritius, they had 200 cases and in a matter of days, they took great measures and have combated it, in the last three weeks they have not recorded a single case, we expect better from the government of Ghana.
He continued by saying that with all the crazy measures, he will still register and vote in the coming election for a good leader.
