A tale of two cartoons: Mahama reacts to bashing of Sammy Gyemfi’s Cartoon

Former President, John Dramani Mahama has reacted to reacts to the bashing of Sammy Gyemfi’s for his cartoon that depicts President Nana Addo and the Electoral commissioner Jane Mensah in a Goerge Floyd like image.  

In a tweet sighted by newsghana24.com, the flag bearer of the NDC said “A tale of two cartoons: Sensitivity – Sensitivities (plural). Definition: the quality or condition of being sensitive: feelings liable to be offended or hurt; sensibilities. Double standard – Double standards (plural). Definition: a rule or principle, which is unfairly applied in different ways to different people or groups.”

He used Sensitivity in one tweet and Double standard in the other to point out the lack of sensitivity in election-related actions that have made stakeholders like the Electoral commission insensitive to the plight of other stakeholders and the state’s lack of sensitivity to violent issues in Ayawoso.

I see what you’re getting at, but this is really not the time to waddle into this fiasco. You could have just kept quiet, but now people are going to remember this and say you’re insensitive and it will hurt you in December.

Ghana for you sir, the double standard, Sensitivity is what is making some Ghanaians think otherwise, but we shall get there no matter the hindrances there shall be the ultimate choice for the Ghanaian people come December 7 and there comes JM.

                             So now it is sane to use a tragedy to campaign right

You’re just proving how desperate you are and I doubt you’ll be elected again unless NDC change their flag bearer until then JM = Opposition

The double standard is when you told Ghanaians the EC is an independent institution and should be allowed to carry out his mediate but you are now forcing them to stop what they are mediated to do. U should be ashamed of yourself as a statesman.
