We didn’t issue the FAKE Voter ID CARD; the EC said in the press release.
The FAKE Voter ID CARD which surfaced on social media and generated heated debate bears ID number 2809012504. According to the EC, the card is a photoshopped copy which had the image of the Asian man superimposed on it.

It, therefore, called on all to disregard the news about the FAKE Voter ID CARD as it lacked substance and was false.
The commission has teamed up with the Ghana Police Service to investigate how the card belonging to Nana Kwaku Okai Brako ended up being photoshopped.
Such an act is illegal, and offenders would face the full arm of the law. Attempts to discredit the EC must be stopped and efforts at helping improve its work promoted.
