SHS Elective and Core Subjects SHS1 students will study
What are the SHS Elective, Core Subjects and programmes, Elective and Core Subjects that SHS1 students will study when they start school?
All SHS1 students who will report to school will study two groups of course. These are the core subjects and elective subjects.
The core subjects are the mandatory courses that all students will be required to study for almost three years of secondary education.
Elective subjects to be studied are determined by the program a student studies.

Note that each student will be required to choose up to four elective courses in addition to the four-course subjects (SHS Elective and Core Subjects). In most secondary schools, the elective subjects are grouped by the school so that once you choose a particular program, you may opt for a given group of elective subjects.
